Similar to the also Nike-made Birmingham home shirt, there’s bits to like and bits to wish in the bin about this Preston away kit.
The bulk of the shirt itself is a classy effort.
This hits trouble with all the bits added on to it. Our old mates 32Red are back for the third time in the Championship this season, bringing their massive logo in bright red this time. They’ve also gone with a different slogan alongside in ‘never chase losses’, which I’m sure you can make your own gags about.
On top of that, the famous Preston crest is a stick-on, which is pretty much a no-go for me. The best you can hope for is it just cracking over time or sticking when it’s folded, but in reality, it’s likely to come off in one of the many washes needed to get various bits of detritus out of that lovely white body. At least it might take that sponsor with it, too. Every cloud.
6/10
